Senator Oscar Braynon’s 4th Annual “Choice Challenge” Educates And Empowers Youth
MIAMI, FL- April 27, 2016- Florida Senator Oscar Braynon II presented the 4th Annual CHOICE CHALLENGE on Saturday, May 7th, 2016, 9am-3:30pm, a free youth only event aimed to equip middle and high school students with the knowledge and tools to make conscious decisions about their future. Choice Challenge 2016 was a day full of educational workshops that focus on careers, life choices, character development, and teen self-empowerment. The event was held at FIU’s Kovens Center (3000 Northeast 151st Street, North Miami, FL 33181) and was FREE and open to youth ages 13 to 17.
The focal point of the Choice Challenge agenda is a mandatory workshop which highlighted real life consequences of drugs, gangs, and violence.
Senator Oscar Braynon II stated,”You do better when you know better.” The Choice Challenge exemplifies this maxim by aiming to equip our young people with life facts. We hope that each participant will leave the workshop well-informed, with a renewed outlook on life, and the unwavering commitment to make the right choice.”
Choice Challenge is in partnership with the Moss Foundation and NFL player Santana Moss. Celebrities and community leaders spent the day with the youth talking honestly about their real life experiences and the choices that led to their successes and failures.

Oscar Braynon, II was elected to the Florida Senate to represent Senate District 36 in March of 2011. District 36 encompasses the majority of Northeast Miami-Dade County and parts of Southern Broward County. Prior to being elected in his current position, Senator Braynon served as the State Representative for District 103.
