Television Talk Show Host Daphnee Pean Visited Fanm Afterschool Program In North Miami Elementary Campus To Bring Early Backpack Christmas Cheers

North Miami, FL – December 21st 2016 – Last Wednesday, talk show host Daphnee of In The Studio With Daphnee in partnership with Melitsa Waage brought early Christmas gifts for the after school kids in North Miami Elementary. About 30 students were present for the gathering. 

The director of the program Rhoda Louissaint welcomed Daphnee as she made her entrance to the room. There were a lot of excitement and anticipation from everyone. Melitsa the creator of the Backpack Attack Movement shared a touching story about her humble beginnings. A young lady, for most of her childhood felt that she was not good enough. She bounced from foster homes until she was adopted. She empowered the kids to be whomever they wanted to be and not to allow anyone to tell them otherwise.

It was then Daphnee’s turn to share her special story. She was inspired by a talk show host she saw on television at the age of 8 and was amazed by it. She knew since then that would have been her future. She not only wanted to be a talk show but she wanted to inspire others and change lives.

There were a few very lucky kids that had the luxury to roleplay and interviewed Daphnee and get interviewed by Daphnee. It was that particular moment that made the kids believe that anything was possible.

Finally the kids get to pick a backpack of their choice with lots of gifts in them. Daphnee was interviewed by Jimmy Moise of Le P’tit Club in a well-known program called Meet The Artist. “I want to be part of the hyphen that connects Haitian and American to make Haitian-American, I want to change lives”.

Daphnee didn’t feel complete if she didn’t seat down with a leader like Marleine Bastien. She seize the opportunity to interview the founder of FANM (Fanm Ayisyen Nan Miyami) translated as Haitian Women in Miami on the great works she has been doing in the community including this Youth Development and Leadership program.

Daphnee shared a few last words with the Vice Mayor of North Miami District 4 Alix Desulme on various programs for the youth. “It is important that we continue to offer our help to support organizations that are doing great works in the community”, said Vice Mayor Desulme.

Daphnee has been blessed to interview so many celebrities and public figures from Sean Paul, Cynthia Bailey, Melky Jean, Lamman Rucker, Fantasia, DJ Krunch, Jamie Foxx to name a few yet today she felt privileged seeing the smiles on the kids face and interviewed a future superstar.
