On Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Broward College South Campus, LEAD Nation and members of the South Florida Youth Summit Planning Committee welcomed close to 200 middle school and high school boys for a day of empowerment.

#IamChange Boys (Em/In) Power Experience is a FREE one day empowerment gathering for middle and high school males of South Florida. Participants will take part in interactive workshops, where they will be engaged in real life scenarios, coupled with experienced presenters, who will give them tools to use to be productive contributing citizens and advocates in this society.

“Our youth cannot imitate what they don’t see,” said Representative Shevrin Jones, Founder of LEAD Nation. “We are calling male professionals and community leaders from all sectors to volunteer their time to mentor and sow into the lives of the next generation of leaders.”

“I’m so passionate about pairing youth with mentors because I would not be where I am today without the many mentors in my life,” said Kerline Jules Chair of the South Florida Youth Summit. “It is important that the business leaders and entrepreneurs alike provide professional development and soft skills for our young people. It is a pleasure to serve as the chairperson for this initiative”.
