MBK Race to Equity Summit October 7 & 8 at PBC Convention Center
Registrations are being accepted for the 2016 My Brother’s Keeper Race to Equity Summit, October 7 and 8, at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, in West Palm Beach.
Hosted by the My Brother’s Keeper Network of Palm Beach County, the theme for this year’s summit is “Bridging the Opportunity Gap for Boys and Young Men of Color.”
In Palm Beach County, thousands of youth face persistent “opportunity gaps” that prevent them from reaching their potential. This not only affects the individual young people and their families, it also prevents them from contributing fully to the community and the economy – thus impacting everyone.
In order to successfully compete in today’s global economy all youth in Palm Beach County must have the opportunity to be safe, healthy, educated, and prepared to succeed in their lives and careers.
Active citizen involvement is needed to help us gain a better perspective on issues involving our youth and strengthen local collective efforts to improve outcomes for this targeted population.
