City Of Miramar To Serve As Signature Event Sponsor Of L.E.A.D. Nation’s Founders Luncheon During 4th Annual South Florida Youth Summit

Summit will feature a line-up of interactive seminars, workshops and panel discussions with prominent leaders for South Florida students

MIAMI, FL (April 14, 2016) – Leaders by Empowerment-Activists by Development (L.E.A.D. Nation), in partnership with the Knight Foundation, is pleased to announce the City of Miramar as the Signature Event Sponsor for its 10th Anniversary Commemorative Founders Luncheon featuring Award-Winning Journalist and Social Architect Jeff Johnson as the keynote speaker. The luncheon will be held on Sunday, April 24th from 2 P.M. –5 P.M. at the Hillcrest Golf & Country Club in Hollywood, FL. Tickets are currently available for purchase; table sponsorships are $1,000 and individual tickets can be purchased for $75. 

This year, L.E.A.D. Nation, Inc. celebrates 10 years of service to youth and families and culminates the 4th Annual South Florida Youth Summit paying homage to its distinguished founders and leaders in the South Florida community. During the Summit, South Florida students will take part in interactive seminars, workshops, and panel discussions and have the opportunity to become active participants in creating positive social change in their communities.

The SFYS is free for all students and will feature several interactive and experiential learning events presented by influential speakers and educators throughout South Florida. Topics discussed at this year’s Summit will focus on leadership development, technology, education, entrepreneurship, health & wellness and much more. The Summit will also feature an exciting lineup of speakers and presenters to motivate and encourage our youth and those responsible for teaching and training them. Notable guests scheduled to attend this year’s Summit includes the aforementioned Civil Rights Legend and Congressman John Lewis; Founder of Honey Shine, Inc. Tracy Wilson Mourning; Executive Director of the Dream Defenders Umi Selah; Author/Mentor Specialist Shawn Blanchard; and South Florida Community Activist Tangela Sears.

Youth Summit

Saturday, April 23 from 8:30 A.M. to 4 P.M., at Miami-Dade College North Campus Conference Center. Free of charge.

Since 2012, more than 4,000 youth have attended L.E.A.D. Nation’s Youth Summit Town Halls, symposiums, workshops and other events to learn and discuss key areas of growth and commitment to making a better future of themselves.

The South Florida Youth Summit hosted by L.E.A.D.
