The World’s Largest Secret Dinner Party Diner En Blanc Makes Debut in Miami #DinerEnBlancMiami

Miami, FL, December 10, 2014 — What a fairy-tale evening underneath the stars! On the evening of December 9, 2014, Diner En Blanc International hosted the inaugural Diner En Blanc Miami. Around 6pm that evening, guest who were lucky to get the invite or made it pass through the 3000+ waiting list, began loading charter buses at various pick up points in Miami to head to the secret location, a location that was kept secret up until the buses arrival to Soundscape Park in South Beach, Miami.

Though a chilly evening in Miami, it did not hinder the 1,000 + guest that showed up with their tables, chairs, and picnic baskets for a magical evening with friends, family, good food, Apothic Wine, Moet Champaign and great fashion. Catered to the all white theme, guest brought the best fashion with their elaborate hats, fascinators, perls, laced gloves, fur jackets, linen suits, feathered hats, bow-ties, silk pocket squares, clip suspenders and more. While enjoying their dinner, attendees were serenaded with live French music and the evening culminated with a DJ spinning the latest hits and the guests dancing the night away.

Diner En Blanc originated in Paris 26 years ago by organizer François Pasquier and his friends. François Pasquier vision for the event was a simple dinner picnic at his garden where each friend would bring a friend. Years later the Parisian Dîner En Blanc has morphed to become the largest and most internationally recognized event brining nearly 15,000 people yearly.

It is very impressive the brand that Diner En Blanc International has built over the years. The mere fact that attendees make a commitment to attend an event where the location of the event it kept a secret until the last minute and the attendees have to bring their own tables, chairs, silverware, dinner, and furthermore the waiting list is at times in the thousands, speaks volumes to the value and the integrity of the Diner En Blanc brand.

Personally I attend a lot of events from national conferences to networking socials, to awards dinners, and galas. There does become a time when attending these various social gatherings becomes redundant. However, Diner En Blanc Miami, has made it on my MUST ATTEND annual events list. I think the concept is brilliant and has made it a unique gathering! I had a wonderful time and look forward to attending next year.
