New York, NY- October 20, 2014—The National Urban League Young Professionals in partnership with the Alabama Power Foundation, is pleased to present the “LEAD [YP]” Conference, January 15-18, 2015, at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Orchestrated and planned by a group of premier professionals and leaders throughout the country, the “LEAD [YP]” Conference will focus on four tracks: Leaders, Entrepreneurs, Advocates, and Dreamers. Conference speakers will provide training on how to be a better leader in the workplace and additional training to elevate attendee’s careers. Entrepreneurs will receive marketing training on how to share their ideas with the world. Entry-level and mid-career professionals will enhance skills on mapping their career growth. In addition, change agents will receive training on community organizing to sharpen their skills. All attendees will leave with tangible tools to enhance their lives and careers, as well as obtain expert support to drive their professional and altruistic plans for a better community.
“The LEAD [YP] Conference will move leaders from talking and tweeting about the problems of the day to creating tangible solutions by providing personal development and community strategy sessions,” says NULYP President, Brandi Richard.
