THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS HOLDS 10TH ANNUAL DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. CELEBRATION

The City of Miami Gardens will hold their 10th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration honoring the renowned civil rights icon with the theme of “Community Change – Stop the Violence.” The event takes place Monday, January 20th from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex, located at 3000 NW 199th Street in Miami Gardens.

Highlights of the celebration include an oratorical contest, poetry performances, entertainment by up-and-coming performers, food and merchandise vendors, and much more. The event follows the City of Miami Gardens’ celebration of its 10-year-anniversary in 2013, and is a call for the greater community to make Dr. King’s dream a reality.
