14 Women’s Business Leaders Named 2014 “Stars” By Women’s Business Enterprise National Council

WASHINGTON, Jan. 8, 2014 — Fourteen exemplary women business leaders will receive the nation’s premier award for excellence among Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs) bestowed by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) at its Salute to Women’s Business Enterprises. The gala evening of March 20, 2014, is the concluding event to WBENC’s annual Summit & Salute convening some 1,500 corporate and government executives, WBEs and members of WBENC’s Regional Partner Organizations (RPOs) at the New Orleans Marriott, New Orleans, LA.

“WBENC’s 14 WBE Stars are exceptional leaders whose accomplishments make a powerful and positive impact on their industries and their communities,” said Pamela Prince-Eason, President and CEO of WBENC, the nation’s leader in women’s business development.

Inspired by WBENC’s theme “Join Forces. Succeed Together.”, the Summit & Salute is designed to drive business development and collaborative success among WBENC’s Corporate and Government Members and WBEs. Sponsored by Accenture and Ernst & Young, the three-day event provides vital access to the thought leaders, business intelligence and senior-level networking opportunities that enable sustainable growth.

The 2014 WBENC WBE Stars are selected by WBENC’s 14 RPOs, which process WBENC’s world-class certification of WBEs, in addition to providing skills- and business-building programs in their respective regions.
